s – Ariel “A.J.” LeBlanc Jr. passed away on at 7:45 a.m. on Tuesday, January 26, 2021, at Ochsner Lafayette General Hospital. A.J. was born on September 26, 1930, in Cecilia, La. and honorably served his country in the Korean War after volunteering for the U.S. Army. Among his joys in life were time spent with his family, his masterful cooking skills, his love for classic Western films, and mowing grass. Survivors include one daughter, Ramona Beckett of New Orleans; two grandchildren, Carli Simpson (Kevin) of New Orleans and Lisa Becket and partner Jonathan Dorsey of St. Martinville; and four great-grandchildren, Ethan Hulin, Beckett Simpson, Charlie Simpson and Olivia Dorsey. He is preceded in death by his wife, Mary LeBlanc; his parents, Ariel Sr. and Lyndie LeBlanc; and three brothers, Roy, Ted and Bobby LeBlanc. Per his wishes, there will be no memorial service.
