l 1, 1947 - February 17, 2021 Cecilia – A private family memorial will be held at a later date honoring the life of Marie Vernice Angelle, 73, who died Wednesday, February 17, 2021, at her home in Cecilia. Vernice was born on l 1, 1947, in Cecilia, La., to the late Louis T and Odita Angelle. In her younger years, she graduated from Cecilia High School and was blessed with four sons, and later, four grandchildren. Once her children were grown, she became the full time caregiver to her disabled sister, whom she resided with until her untimely passing. She loved spending time gardening and tending to her beautiful flowers as well as keeping her house sparkling clean. Vernice was a loving and caring sister, mother, and grandmother and a devoted Catholic. She is survived by her sons, Randy Landry (Erin) of Lafayette, Christopher Landry of Breaux Bridge, Johnny Reyes (Rhea) of Groves, Texas; one brother, Leroy Angelle of New Iberia; one sister, Brenda Angelle of Cecilia; and four grandchildren, Rayley and Eva Reyes, and Abby and Anna Landry. She was preceded in death by her parents; and her son, Brian Landry. (Pd.Adv.)
