Beunice Carriere Mistric
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home in Arnaudville from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Friday.
A rosary was prayed at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, by her niece Sharon Marks.
Rev. Darren Eldridge officiated at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures were read by Edmond Richard and Sharon Marks.
Interment followed at St. Leo the Great Cemetery in Leonville.
Beunice was a parishioner of St. Leo the Great Catholic Church where she was a member of the Ladies Altar Society. As a pastime, she loved to cook, crochet, play Bingo, and do crossword puzzles.
She is survived by her two daughters, Elaine Couvillon and Donna Pontiff (Gerald); daughter-in-law, Vickie D. Mistric; 13 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; numerous great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Georgia Carriere (Ray); and extended family of nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by two children, Susan M. Griffin and Michael Lee Mistric; parents Theophile and Onezia Arnaud Carriere; son-in-law, Mike Couvillon; two sisters, Gertie C. David and Mildred C. Oprea; two brothers-in-law, James David and George Oprea; and the father of her children, Dalton Mistric.
Pallbearers were Brian Couvillon, Neil Fruge, Landon Credeur, Jay Lanclos, Shaun Lanclos, and Jacob Mistric.
Honorary Pallbearers were Gerald Pontiff, Luke Denais, Christian Ray, and Caleb Lanclos.
The family wishes to thank the staff at J. Michael Morrow Nursing Home for the care given to their mother and a special thanks to Mrs. Lucille Thomas for being such an awesome friend and roommate.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Arnaudville was in charge of arrangements.
