Rae C. Gooch

St. Martinville – A Funeral Service was held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, February 9, 2023, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Rae C. Gooch, 99, who passed away at St. Agnes Healthcare & Rehab Center.

A visitation took place at the funeral home on Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 11 a.m.

Deacon Marcel “Butch” Hebert officiated at the funeral service. Interment follow at St. Michael Mausoleum.

Rae enjoyed listening to Country music, watching the news, and caring for her family.

She is survived by her son, Billy Ray (Nanette) Gooch; grandchildren, Jackie Gooch, Billy “BJ” (Julia) Gooch and Kelly Gooch; great-grandchildren, Sage (Maycii) Bonin, Jayden Nassans, Barkley Gooch and Adele Gooch; and her great-great-grandchildren, Brexlie Bonin and Hadlee Bonin.

She is preceded in death by her husband, David Roland “Billy” Gooch; parents, Hugh and Noelie Broussard Champagne; siblings, Edgar Champagne, Hugh Champagne, James Champagne, Hamay Champagne, Eunice Potier, Georgie Bienvenu and Verna Bourque.

Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
