Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial wase celebrated on Monday, Oct. 1, 2at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Dorothy Mae Williams Valere, 76, who passed away on Sunday, Sept. 23, 2018, at Lafayette General Medical Center. Interment followed at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery. She is survived by her sons, Paul, Milera and Herbert Williams; daughter, Mrs. Louis (Shirley) Rowan; brothers, Harold, Andrew and Jeffery Williams; sisters, Mrs. Rico (Dalta) Wattso, Doris Ledet and Mrs. Alto (Doretha) Batiste; Godchild, Stella Alexander of Breaux Bridge; eight grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul C. Valere; and sister, Mable Victor. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
