Breaux Bridge – A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, Oct. 13, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Patricia Byrne Rees, 91, who passed away on Monday, Oct. 8, 2018. Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 1. She is survived by her sister, Catherine Byrne Nieto; her children Grover J. III, Robert, John M., Stephen G., Charles A., Thomas M., Daniel A. and James M. Rees, Kathleen A. Shires, Mary Crain and Mary E. Rees; her 36 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Grover J. Rees Jr.; her brother, Robert E. Byrne Jr.; her sisters, Sister Margaret Byrne and Betty Nugent; and her youngest son, Richard C. Rees. Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
