Ken was many things to many people. Being raised as the youngest boy in a family of 15 siblings, he developed a strong sense of family and the true meaning of the word brother. Whether one was a brother, sister, or an in-law, friend, colleague, child, adult or complete stranger, they would be treated with care and respect. Ken brought joy and happiness everywhere he went, and his infectious laughter always raised people’s spirits.
He was a curious and adventurous man that left St. Martinville to explore New York City for seven years and for the past six years Ken lived in Houston, Texas. His love of LSU sports brought him much joy. Ken was also a wake surfer, ping pong player and an avid snow skier. He loved the game of volleyball at a very young age and fishing and hunting as a young boy with his Dad, brothers, brothers-in-law, and nephews.
In his workplace on a Deepwater Drillship, Ken will be remembered as a team player who always had his crew’s back. Amongst his friends he was so quick to offer a helping hand in times of need, or a laugh in times of stress. Ken’s most precious gift was his relationship with young nieces and nephews, which to a child is based on respect, coaching and a fun Uncle to be around.
Ken loved to travel and explore and had many opportunities traveling abroad and domestic with many of his siblings. His sibling trips with his 14 siblings were just some of his fondest memories. Ken will be sorely missed by all those lives he touched in his unique spirit.
