Groves, Texas – Lawrence Caillier, 91, of Groves, Texas passed away on Monday November 4, 2019. Lawrence was born on September 9, 1928, in Cecilia, La. Mr. Caillier has been a resident of Port Arthur for more than 65 years. He retired from the maintenance department of the Texas State Highway Department. He was a parishioner of Immaculate Conception St. Peter’s Catholic Church. Mr. Caillier served his country during World War II in the United States Army. Mr. Caillier is survived by his wife, Anne Landry Caillier of Groves; his two sons and their wives, Ernest (Terry) Caillier of Groves and Norris (Pat) Caillier of Hampshire; and his daughter and her husband, Elaine (John) Boutte of Little Cypress. He also leaves behind eight grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. Funeral Services were held on Thursday, November 7, 2019, at 11 a.m. in the Chapel of Grammier-Oberle Funeral Home. The family received friends from 5 to 8 p.m. on Wednesday with a recitation of The Holy Rosary took place beginning at 6:30 p.m. Mr. Caillier was entombed at Greenlawn Memorial Park.
