Vernon was employed by the St. Martin Parish Courthouse for many years, until his retirement when he moved to Lafayette, where he resided until his death. Vernon is survived by his wife, Mary; his brothers, Raymond Robertson, and Harold Robertson and his wife Plincly of Parks; sisters, Mildred Breaux of Breaux Bridge and Florence Domingue of Lafayette; and sister-in-law, Frances G. Robertson of Parks. He was preceded in death by his parents, Raoul and Florence P. Robertson; brothers, Alton, Bobby and his wife Sybil C. Harris, and Francis and his wife Angeline; bothers-in-law, James Breaux and Charles Domingue; and sister-in-law, Rebecca H. Robertson.
