Breaux Bridge – Funeral services were held on Wednesday, August 19, 2020, at 11 a.m. at Breaux Bridge Church of Christ for Nella Beatrice Decuir Dyes, 75, who died August 17, 2020, at 4:48 p.m. at University Hospital and Clinic. Services were conducted by Brother Ronald Girouard Sr. Interment was in Breaux Bridge Church of Christ. She was a devoted Christian wife and mother and well loved by many. She is survived by her husband, Moses Dyes Jr. of Breaux Bridge; daughters, Prudence (Ronald Sr.) Girouard of Breaux Bridge, and Amanda Dyes of Covington, Ga.; brother, Harry (Lisa) Decuir of Houston, Texas; sister-in-law, Helen Mitchell of New Iberia; granddaughters, Sade Ranson of Marietta, Ga., Salome Ranson of Sandy Springs, Ga., Rynella Girouard of Breaux Bridge, and Assata Dyes of Covington, Ga.; grandsons, Torien Henderson Jr. of Covington, Ga., Tyron Henderson of Anniston, Ala. and Ronald Girouard Jr. of Breaux Bridge; great-grandsons, Jalen Melton of Stone Mountain, Ga., Montrez Henderson of Rex, Ga. and D’Andre Payne Jr. of Breaux Bridge; great-granddaughters, Jaleah Melton of Marietta, Ga., and Reign Girouard of Breaux Bridge; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harry and Myrtle Decuir of Mississippi; daughter, Yolanda Marie Henderson and son-in-law, Torien Henderson Sr. of Georgia; brothers, Bobby Decuir and Charles Decuir of New York; sisters, Delores Worley of Michigan, Joyce Veal of California, and Diane Asberry and Myrtle Francis of Texas; brothers-in-law, Robert Mitchell and Willie Dyes of Louisiana, and John Stanford of Texas; and sister-in-law, Willa Stanford of Texas.
