St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 18, at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Gordon R. Mitchell, 77, who passed away on Thursday, Sept. 10, 2020. Survivors include his brother, Norman Mitchell; sisters, Sidney M. Sam, Mrs. Walter (Geneva) Foote andMrs. Willie (Margaret) Lewis; daughters, Tiffieny Mitchell and Kia Jones; and two grandchildren. Pellerin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
