Christy Lynn Lalonde

St. Martinville - A Memorial Service will be held at a later date for Christy Lynn Lalonde, 46, who passed away on March 24, 2024, at her residence.

Christy was born on September 20, 1977, in Franklin. Christy’s presence in the lives of her family and friends brought light and joy to all who knew her. She had a deep love for the outdoors, finding peace and happiness in nature as she explored its beauty. Her passion for swimming allowed her to feel free and alive in the water.

One of Christy’s greatest joys in life was her beloved pets, who were more than just animals to her - they were part of her family. Her nurturing spirit extended not only to her pets but also to her godson Reese, whom she adored and treasured beyond measure.

A social butterfly at heart, Christy loved spending time with her family and friends. Whether it was gathering for arts and crafts sessions, enjoying a day at Chuck-E-Cheese with her daughter Faith in years past, or simply sharing stories over a warm bowl of gumbo that she so skillfully made, Christy’s presence brought people together in love and laughter.

In quieter moments, Christy found comfort in watching home improvement shows, always dreaming up ways to make spaces more beautiful and welcoming.

Christy leaves behind a legacy of love and warmth that will be carried on by those who were fortunate enough to know her.

She is survived by her husband, Josh Lalonde; daughter, Faith Lalonde; mother, Lana Guilliot; mother-in-law, Brenda Lalonde; brothers, Hardy Guilliot, Jimmy Guilliot and Dennis Champagne; sisters, Trisha Guilliot, Tanya Bourque and Sarah Champagne; godmother, Bertha Langlainais; aunts and uncles, Melanie and Doug Arnold, JC and Mary Guilliot, Butch and Sally Guilliot, BeBe Gaspard and Liz, Brenda Guilliot, Bessie Duncan, Angel and Thomas Nicols, Wayne and Sue Blanchard, and Aunt Emily Chauvin; a host of nieces and nephews.
