Dennis Paul Barras

Breaux Bridge - Dennis P. Barras, passed away, on Monday,  June 10,  2024 at the age of 79 at his residence.

He was employed by  Southern and Union Pacific Railroad  for 34 years. 

He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Leona Castille Barras,  daughter,  Mandy Barras, great -nephew, Gary Price, which he took as the son he never had.  Sister–in-laws, Louella Castille  (Rodney Bearb) Babin, Lillian Castille, brother-in-law, Charles Ram (Monica), niece Terry Latiolais, nephews Eric Castille, Brody Romero, and his fur baby Tyson.

He is preceded in death by his parents Easton and Eula Mae Melancon Barras, his brother, Wilton John Barras, and  his -in-laws Leon and Ruby Pourciaux Castille, and brother-in-law Stanley Patrick Babin.

The family would like to extend a special thanks to the staff of Hospice of Acadiana especially Allosyn for her compassionate care  to him  in his  time of need.

A celebration  of life will be held at a later date.  Louisiana Funeral Services & Crematory of Broussard  was in charge of arrangements.
