Priscilla Ann Guidry deLaloire

Tampa, Fla. – With hearts both heavy and full of gratitude, we remember the life of Priscilla Ann Guidry deLaloire, who departed peacefully from our world on August 13, 2023, while in the comfort of her home.

Born on July 14, 1945, in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, she was a spirited soul who traveled between Tampa and Louisiana often, bringing laughter and vibrant stories with her.

Priscilla was not just a woman; she was an experience. Whether regaling us with tales from her adventurous Harley rides with her husband of 53 years or meticulously selecting the best items on a shopping trip, she had the ability to make every moment count. Always impeccably dressed in ironed clothes, matching shoes, and a purse – and never without her lipstick – she was the epitome of grace and style. Always punctual, supremely organized, and a lover of Louisiana art, she had a penchant for appreciating beauty in every form. Priscilla held a special place as the princess of our family, she would let you know that “a princess never cooks.”

Her eternal love for her husband was a testament to the deep bonds of a lifelong partnership. After the passing of her husband, Priscilla found solace in her bond with her brother, supporting him during his cancer journey with heartfelt weekly conversations. And her great-niece, Amanda, became even closer to her after the loss of her veteran husband, offering simple texts of support and a listening ear on difficult days.

Priscilla’s welcoming nature, her delight in seeing her loved ones, and her undying love for her family and friends have left an indelible mark on all our hearts. Priscila was very proud of her children Laurie and Eric and enjoyed holiday visits with them and their families.

Her granddaughter, Brooke, often recounts how she thought of Priscilla as the best grandma – from childhood mall trips, especially the Disney store and watching “what not to wear,” to sharing beer and stories as adults. Priscilla was not just a grandma but a princess and a rebel whose laughter, sassiness, and anecdotes will be fondly remembered.

Her Godson, Doug, fondly remembers enjoying trips to Tampa to visit his Nanny, especially attending Spring Training games every March since 2013, his first Lightning hockey game last year and exploring various restaurants. Her niece, Kris, cherished their phone conversations, reminiscing about Priscilla’s travels and adventures and conversations over coffee on the mornings of visits.

She was preceded in death by parents, Sidney and Solange Guidry; the love of her life, John B. deLaloire; grandson, Logan Rodriguez; brother, Larry Guidry; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Priscilla is survived by her daughter, Laurie Serrano (Mike); son, Eric deLaloire (Nicole); sister-in-law, Betty LeBlanc Guidry; brother–in-law, Richard deLaloire; grandchildren, Brooke and Brent Serrano, and Nealy Rodriguez; nephews, Douglas Guidry (Annette), Marty Guidry (Sheri); niece, Kristine Devillier (Johnny); great- nieces and nephews, Amanda Devillier, Tana Safford (Harold), Trent Guidry (Hailey), Ali Begnaud (Jed), Kylie Guidry and Noah Guidry; great-great-nieces and nephews, Sydney, Cohen, Sophia, Zander, Demi, Tripp, Catherine, Brecken, Allen and Ridge; and all that had the privilege of knowing her.

Let’s come together to celebrate a well-lived life, a spirit so free, and a heart so vast. Rest in eternal peace, dear Priscilla. You will be dearly missed but forever remembered.
