Cecilia – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 2 p.m. on Thursday, January 30, 2020, at Pellerin Funeral Home for Priscilla Ann Johnson, 78, who passed away on Tuesday, January 28, 2020, at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 7:30 a.m. until time of services.
A rosary was prayed at 11 a.m. on Thursday.
Rev. Gregory Cormier officiated at the Funeral Mass. Readers were Cathy Johnson and Patti Johnson.
Interment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia.
Mrs. Johnson was an educator at Cecilia Primary for 23 years. During her free time, she liked cooking and baking for her family and friends. Priscilla enjoyed spending time outdoors hunting, camping, and gardening in her garden.
She is survived by her loving husband, Jules Wayne Johnson of Breaux Bridge; two sons, Brent M. Taylor and wife Melanie and Jules Adam Johnson and wife Amanda, both of Breaux Bridge; grandson, Philip J. Taylor and wife Dusti of Breaux Bridge; granddaughter, Cassidy Johnson of Breaux Bridge; great-grandchildren, Emma Taylor, Molly Taylor and Vallie Kennedy, all of Breaux Bridge; step granddaughters, Brittany Bergeaux and Hayley Daigle, both of Breaux Bridge; step grandson, Hunter Daigle of Breaux Bridge; and step great-grandson, Cohen Bergeaux of Breaux Bridge.
She was preceded in death by her first husband, Philip Mitchell Taylor; and her parents, Lester “Yus” and Lucy Daigle Guidry.
Pallbearers were Jules Wayne Johnson, Brent M. Taylor, Jules Adam Johnson, Philip Taylor, Robert Daigle and Dr. Jeff Guidry.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Cecilia was in charge of arrangements.
