Steve John Hebert

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial was held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, February 19, 2018, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Steve John Hebert, 62, who passed away on Thursday, February 15, 2018, at his daughter’s residence.
Visiting hours were observed at the funeral home from 11:30 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Sunday and continued on Monday at 7 a.m. until time of service.
A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Sunday by Clifford Hebert.
Rev. Austin Leger officiated at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures were read by Renee Credeur. Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery No. 2 in Breaux Bridge.
Steve was the owner of the Hebert’s Video World and Slick’s Pool Hall, both located in Breaux Bridge. He enjoyed playing cards, riding motorcycles, shooting pool, and watching The Bold and the Beautiful. Steve will be remembered for his calm nature and good conversations about the past.
He is survived by his loving daughters, Heidi Hebert and companion Troy Breaux of Breaux Bridge, and Michelle Hebert and companion Brent Johnson of New Orleans; brother, Scottie Hebert and wife Vashonda of Eunice; sisters, Barbara Landry and Lisa Hebert, both of Erath; companion, Valerie James; grandchildren, Alexis Babineaux, Taylor Sonnier and Blaine Sonnier; and his caregiver, Tina Guidry of Breaux Bridge.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard John Hebert and Lucy Mae Trahan Hebert.
Pallbearers were Scottie Hebert, Tyrel Credeur, Mark Bolner, Troy Breaux, Brent Johnson and Danny Hebert.
Honorary pallbearers were Toby O’Bryan, Brandon Perrin, Sheldon Primeaux and Roland Norris.
Pellerin Funeral Home of Breaux Bridge was in charge of arrangements.
