Lafayette – A Mass of Christian Burial and Celebration of Life was held on Friday, June 2, 2023, at 2 p.m. in St. Mary Mother of the Church Catholic Church for Douglas A. “Buddy” Moody Sr., 95, who passed peacefully at home, surrounded by his family members, on Saturday, May 27, 2023.

Reverend Cedric Sonnier, Pastor of St. Mary Mother of the Church Catholic Church in Lafayette, will officiate the services, and Reverend Kenneth Domingue, Pastor of St. John Berchmans Catholic Church in Cankton, will be the Homilist and con-celebrate the Funeral Mass.
Covington – Warren Paul “Boo” Miguez Jr. died on Tuesday, May 23, 2023, in Covington, Louisiana at the age of 77.
He was born in St. Martinville, Louisiana on January 25, 1946, and lived in Covington for 42 years. He attended Convent of Mercy Elementary School, St. Martin Junior High, and St. Martinville High School, graduating in 1964. He earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration in 1968 from the University of Southwestern Louisiana (USL). He earned a Juris Doctor degree from Tulane University School of Law in 1973.
St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on May 19 at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Madeline Francis Valsin, 84.
Survivors include her daughter, Geraldine Martin; sons, Alton Sr., Nelson, Melvin, Eddie and Wilfred Francis; sister, Evelyn Ledet; step-sons, Clyde, Eugene III and Wallace Valsin; 20 grandchildren and 26 great-grandchildren.
Pellerin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Cecilia – A Memorial Service was held on May 15 at Pellerin Funeral Home for Marjorie Faye Phillips Allemond, 66, who died on May 8, 2023.
She is survived by her husband, Perry Allemond Sr.; son, James Allemond; daughter, Amanda Duplechien; brothers, Alcee and James G. Phillips Jr.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
