St. Martinville - A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, November 22, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church in St. Martinville for Odile Henry Borel, 94, who passed away on Monday, November 20, 2017, at Landmark of Acadiana Nursing Home.
Rev. Donald Pelous will officiate at the Funeral Mass.
Interment will follow at St. Michael Cemetery in St. Martinville.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until 9 p.m. on Thursday, and continue on Friday at 7 a.m. until 10 a.m.

Algiers – Father Charles Auguste Othenin Girard, SM, peacefully passed away at Our Lady of Wisdom Health Care Center in Algiers, La. on Saturday, November 11, 2017, at the age of 81.
He was born on December 13, 1935, in Breaux Bridge. He is the son of the late Charles August and Olita (Trahan) Girard and the brother of the late Sophie Girard Mouton.
Fr. Charles is survived by his brother, John Girard; and his nephews, Edmond and Larry Mouton and Marist Confreres.

The family requests that visiting hours be observed at the funeral home from 9 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
A rosary was prayed on Tuesday.
Rev. Richard Fabre officiated at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures were read by Tina Gaspard. Gift bearers will be Faith Moore and Douglas Lopez.
Lafayette – Funeral Services for Mr. Dwayne “Buck” James Thibodeaux, 52, wereheld at 1 p.m. on Thursday, November 16, 2017 at David Funeral Chapel of Lafayette with Deacon Wynard Boutte officiating. Interment followed at St. Anne Mausoleum.
Visitation was held at David Funeral Home of Lafayette on Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 9 a.m. until the time of the services with a recitation of the rosary at 11a.m.
