Arnaudville – Ada Nell Long, 74, passed away on Tuesday, November 7, 2017, at Opelousas General Hospital. Ada enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and attending church. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. At all gatherings, she loved to help cook, using old family recipes that warmed the heart and soul and created new memories.
St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 1 p.m. on Monday, November 13, 2017, at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Parks for Kevin Jude Picard, 49, who passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017, at home surrounded by his family. Visiting hours were observed from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. on Sunday and continued on Monday at 7 a.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home in St. Martinville. A rosary was prayed at 7 p.m. on Sunday. Rev. Bryce Sibley offi ciated at the Funeral Mass. Interment followed at St. Michael Mausoleum in St. Martinville.
St. Martinville – Memorial Services will be conducted for Rickey James Romero, 64, at 10 a.m. on Saturday, November 18, 2017, at St. Martin de Tours Catholic Church with Fr. Keith LaBauve offi ciating. Inurnment will follow at St. Michael’s Cemetery. A native and resident of St. Martinville, Mr. Romero passed away at 1:40 a.m. on Sunday, November 12, 2017, at Ocshner Medical Center in Baton Rouge. Rickey had a love for outdoors and animals, especially horses. He will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

Breaux Bridge - A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Saturday, Nov. 18, at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church for Mary L. Davis, 85, who passed away on Wednesday, Nov. 8, 2017. Visiting hours will be observed at the funeral home from 7 a.m. until 10 a.m. on Saturday. Interment will follow at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery. She is survived by her daughters, Mrs. Sidney (Janice) Allen and Mrs. Lawrence (Shirletta) Blanchard; her son, Clifton Davis Jr.; eight grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
