John Scott Boggs

St. Martinville – It is with heavy hearts that the family of John Scott Boggs announces his  death. Scott passed away on April 25, 2022, at his  residence after a brief battle with cancer. He  was 63  years old. 

A memorial will be held on Thursday, April 28 at 10 a.m. at the Parks Baptist Church. Brother Robert Burdeaux will officiate the service.

lnurnment will be  at a later date.

Marie V. Stelly

Arnaudville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on April 20, 2022 at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church for Marie “Vi” Viola Stelly, 77, who died on April 12, 2022.

She is survived by her sons, Phillip J. and Timothy W. Stelly; daughters, Jacqueline A. Stelly and Brandi D. Brasseaux;  nine grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren; sisters, Mary A. Hebert, Mrs. Roland (Joanne) Quebedeaux, Mrs. Donald (Linda) Bernard and Brenda Schexnayder; brothers, Charles R. and Floyd J Guilbeau).

Louella H. Pontiff

Arnaudville A Mass of Christian Burial wascelebrated on April 18 at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church for Louella Hayes Pontiff, 89, who died on April 11, 2022. 

She is survived by her daughter, Teena Guidry; sons, Lance, Joseph and Brett Pontiff; six grandchildren and three great-grandchildren; brothers, Kenny and Craig Hayes; and her sisters, Leen Trosclair and Elsie Robin. 

  She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Pontiff.

Pellerin Funeral Home  was in charge of arrangements.

Verna G. Landry

Lafayette – A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on April 22, at the Cathedral St. John the Evangelist in Lafayette for Verna Guidry Landry, 90, who died on April 14, 2022. 

She is survived by sons, Michael, Samuel, Jacques, Rickey and Louis Landry; daughters, Mrs. Scott (Denise) Dauphin and Mrs. Jeffery (Debbie) Babin; 14 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by husband, Joseph R. Landry. 

  Pellerin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Clarence A. Knott

Cecilia – A Mass of Christian Burial was held on April 14 at St. Joseph Catholic Church for Clarence “Coy” A. Knott, 87, who died on April 12, 2022.

He is survived by his children, Randy, Brenda and Travis Knott, Mrs. Dickie (Debbie) Dupuis and Mrs. Ricky (Cynthia) Taylor (Ricky); 14 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren; and his siblings, Mrs. Steve (Alta) Huval and Richard Knott.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Merley Taylor Knott.

Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
