Cecilia – Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. on Tuesday, August 22, 2023, at St. Joseph Catholic Church for LouAnna Guidry Angelle, 98, who passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at her home in Cecilia. 

Entombment followed at St. Joseph Cemetery in Cecilia. 

Rev. Greg Cormier officiated at the Funeral Mass. Serving as lectors were Wendy Soto and Katherine Whittaker. Gift bearers were Ashley Angelle and Allen Soto.

Priscilla Ann Guidry deLaloire

Tampa, Fla. – With hearts both heavy and full of gratitude, we remember the life of Priscilla Ann Guidry deLaloire, who departed peacefully from our world on August 13, 2023, while in the comfort of her home.

Born on July 14, 1945, in Breaux Bridge, Louisiana, she was a spirited soul who traveled between Tampa and Louisiana often, bringing laughter and vibrant stories with her.

Sosthene ‘Sos’ Joseph Amy

Sosthene Joseph Amy, a beloved husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, at the age of 77. 

Born on August 25, 1945, in Lafayette, La., Sosthene’s life was filled with love, laughter, and an unwavering dedication to his family.

St. Martinville – A Funeral Service will be held on  Aug. 16 at Pellerin Funeral Home for Joyce Smith, 86, who died on Aug. 11, 2023.

She is survived by her sons, Murrell Jr. and John E. Smith; six grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren; brother, Dr. Edward E. Jeffries; and long-time caregiver and friend, Nateasha Jean-Louis.

Pellerin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Breaux Bridge -– A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Aug. 14 at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Margaret Helen Patin, 87, who died on Aug. 8, 2023. 

She is survived by her children, David, Kenny  Craig and Kelly Patin,  and Peggy Guidry; 15 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Seola Pitre. 

Pellerin Funeral Home wass in charge of arrangements.
