Dorothy Mae Dumatrait

Breaux Bridge – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 2 p.m. on Friday, April 14, 2023, at St. Bernard Catholic Church for Dorothy Mae Dumatrait, 88, who passed away on Monday, April 10, 2023.

Visitation was held on Friday, April 14, 2023, from 8:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. at Pellerin Funeral Home in Breaux Bridge.

A Rosary was prayed at 1 p.m.

Rev. Bill Melancon officiated at the Funeral Mass. Scriptures were read by Abby Dumatrait and Megan Robichaux.

Interment followed at St. Bernard Cemetery #1.

St. Martinville – A Mass of Christian Burial will be held a on April 13 at Notre Dame Catholic Church for Francis “Lightning” Joseph Narcisse Jr., 87, who died on March 30, 2023. 

  He is survived by his wife; sons, Gabriel, Nathaniel and Devonte Anthony; daughters, Stephaine Odu, Frannie Narcisse and Shonaya Fuselier; sister, Rose Robertson; six grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.

  Pellerin Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Reginald ‘Guam’ Jean-baptiste

St. Martinville – A Funeral Service will be held at (day and time pending) Pellerin Funeral Home of St. Martinville for Reginald “Guam” Jean-baptiste, 55, who passed away on April 8, 2023, at his home.

Reginald, known to his family and friends as, “Guam,” was born December 4, 1967, in Lafayette. He enjoyed fishing, listening to Reggae music, and most importantly being with his beloved family. Guam will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Verler Mae LaGrange Gordon

Lafayette – A Memorial Service will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, at 12 p.m. at Cypress Funeral Home in Maurice, La. for Verler Mae LaGrange Gordon, 69, who passed away peacefully at Cornerstone at the Ranch Bethany Rehabilitation in Lafayette on Friday, March 24, 2023.

Pastor James Parker of Embassy Bible Fellowship will officiate.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, April 15, 2023, from 9:30 a.m. until service time at Cypress Funeral Home, 206 West Lafayette Street, Maurice.

Arnaudville – A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on April 3, at St. John Francis Regis Catholic Church for Delores Anna D. Stelly, 92, who died on March 30, 2023. 

She is survived by her daughter, Maggia Gordon; son, Randy Prejean; brother, A.J. Douget; six grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren. 

She was preceded in death by her husband, Voorhies Stelly Sr.

Pellerin Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
